Sensofil - Sensofil fiber technology uses a sophisticated synthetic fiber construction system that creates the best possible ratio of thermal insulation to weight. The fiber system ensures optimized moisture transport and a comfortable microclimate in the sleeping bag. Like all synthetic fibers, Sensofil insulates even when wet, dries quickly, is long lasting, durable and is easy to maintain.
How it Works - Sensofil consists of three fiber layers of different weights and fiber thicknesses. The outer layer is made from a robust hollow fiber that retains warm air. These hollow fibers retain more warm air; cold air cannot come into the bag through convection. The middle fiber layer forms a somewhat denser staple fiber that provides high thermal insulation in that it retains the warm air. The inner layer is a silicon-coated microfiber that moves moisture quickly away from the body and reflects the body’s thermal radiation.
