The New Argon Spline 30 is a purely technical, lightweight, professionally equipped, extremely robust climbing pack.
What makes the Spline so special: the lid compartment can be stowed away to reduce the backpack's height offering full mobility for the head while climbing. The special ceramic print as well as the break-proof aluminum buckles make the Spline 30 as tough as nails. The Slide rail lets you stow away any extra compression straps or gear attachments neatly and easily.
- Special ceramic print gives highest abrasion resistance at bottom and sides
- Information panel for alpine emergency situations under the lid
- Zip pocket in the lid
- Gear loops - side compression straps are completely stowable
- eLink system: backpack can be attached to Edelrid climbing harnesses
- Opening for hydration system

Integrated Belay Station Sling - A length adjustable belay station sling is integrated into the back of this tough backpack. This feature not only makes it possible to attach the pack to the station, it can also be fully integrated into the stand. A climber (the following climber for example) can attach themselves to the belay station with the backpack sling. With the help of the sling, the backpack can also be used as a seat or head rest to make an uncomfortable wall bivy or belay station a bit more relaxing.
Cordura - No matter where it’s used – whether in backpacks or apparel – Cordura can take a beating. When put to the test, Cordura resists scuffs, tears and abrasions like no other fabric of its kind. Cordura is 10x more durable than cotton fabric, 3x more durable than standard polyester and 2x more durable than standard nylon.
Proflex - The Proflex suspension system was especially engineered for alpine use. The extra lightweight body-contact back is designed to be extremely comfortable and flexible. This flexibility was achieved by omitting a backplate, and is essential when you need full freedom of movement for alpine activities such as climbing. A light, specially curved aluminium frame ensures reliable stability and can be quickly removed if required.
An innovative construction with specially moulded foam enhances the wearing and carrying comfort of the system. The strategically positioned form of the back section conforms to the curve of the spine. The viscoelastic foam prevents pressure spots and ensures that the pack goes along with the wearer’s movements. Proflex lets you wear your pack close to your body when you need more stability on alpine terrain.
eLink - Backpacks with the e-Link system have a special buckle that allows them to be linked into an Edelrid climbing harness. The hipbelt is detached and the e-Link buckle is hooked into a webbing loop on the harness. The backpack fits just as safely and securely when attached to the climbing harness (climbing, glacier crossing, alpine touring, etc.) as it does when attached to the hipbelt. Gear loops and chalk bag are not covered by a wide hipbelt, making them easier to access. This enhances both comfort and safety on the climb, in addition to saving on the extra weight of a hipbelt.
Shield Tech - Shield technology protects the backpack at high wear-and-tear points with an additional abrasion-print. This improves abrasion resistance in these areas and increases the lifespan of the backpack.
